Tellagence is consumer intelligence software that reads public conversation in context and returns the same answer every time. We’re based in Portland, Oregon, and our research team has been building it since 2011.

Our broader team includes AI engineers, brand strategists, social media analysts, data managers, and security experts.

## Meet our leadership team

Matt Hixson started his career as a CPA and has spent most of it in enterprise software. He holds an MBA from the University of Oregon and a certificate of executive education from Harvard Business School for high-potential leaders.

After meeting Nitin Mayande in 2011 and discovering their shared vision for consumer intelligence, Tellagence was born.

In addition to his executive role leading Tellagence, Matt leads the longtime client relationship with YouTube and Google, focused on social media applications and analytics.

Matt is a father of three, a rabid Oregon Ducks fan, and a lover of art and sneakers in equal measure.

Nitin Mayande has worked on consumer intelligence since 2008. He holds a Ph.D. in Engineering Management from Portland State University and several patents on AI systems. His predictive algorithms for large-scale networks are the foundation of Tellagence’s technology.

Nitin has worked at Nike and Intel. He also works hands-on in programming, big data, machine learning frameworks, and cloud platforms.

Nitin and Matt were introduced in 2011. Their shared convictions around the power of context soon led to the founding of Tellagence.

Today he leads the Tellagence research team.

Nitin is a world traveler, a Bugs Bunny fanatic, and a coffee shop regular. Light roast, no milk, no sugar. Peruvian Light Roast preferred.

Dylan Boyd has spent more than 25 years in business development and product leadership, at early-stage startups and global brands. He has held leadership roles at eROI, Airship, Techstars, and R/GA Ventures.

He has led the creation of more than 50 accelerators and startup studio programs with major corporate partners and universities.

Today he leads sales and marketing at Tellagence, bringing its patented AI to market.

Dylan enjoys a long hike in the mountains and an après IPA. As a snow tot in Sun Valley, he was once featured in SKI magazine.

Chandra Akula is a technology executive focused on enterprise data strategy and AI.

He launched Nike’s Global Capability Center and grew it to more than 450 people in four years.

Today he leads the Tellagence engineering team.

Chandra’s expertise includes cloud, big data, AI/ML, LLMs, and governance platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, Collibra, and Unity Catalog. He holds a Master of Computer Science Application from the University of Madras, as well as recent executive certifications in Agentic AI and Machine Learning from Vanderbilt and Stanford.

He is an avid hiker, reader, and eater of diverse cuisines.

![Nitin R. Joglekar headshot](https://tellagence.ai/hubfs/site-images/NitinRJoglekar.webp) Nitin R. Joglekar, PhD

Dr. Joglekar is the current John F. Connely Endowed Chair in Management at the Villanova School of Business and previously on the faculty at Boston University’s Questrom School of Business. His research and teaching interests focus on digital transformation through human-centered applications of AI within product and supply chain management, platforms and market design, and the ethics and social responsibility considerations involved in these processes. His research has been published in leading operations and management journals, including Journal of Operations Management, Production and Operations Management, Management Science, and MIT Sloan Management Review, among others. Dr. Joglekar has won numerous teaching awards and has been a visiting faculty member at MIT Sloan School of Management and University of Texas, and a visiting fellow at Cambridge Judge Business School and Copenhagen Business School. Dr. Joglekar holds engineering degrees from Indian Institute of Technology, Memorial University (Canada), and MIT, and a PhD in Management Science from the MIT Sloan School of Management.
